Apple, Fennel & Cumin

This (low ABV) cocktail was inspired by a roast chicken dish my wife made using apple sauce, fennel and cumin as the marinade.

Here is the cocktail version:
• 1.5oz @donciccioefigli finocchietto (fennel liqueur)
• 0.5oz Chai Pear Shrub
• 0.5oz cumin simple syrup
 

Cumin simple syrup:
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup water
• 1 tsp cumin powder

Heat the sugar and water together in a small pot until the sugar dissolves. Add the cumin and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Strain and chill.
