Happy #shrubsaturday ya'll! Here is a twist on the traditional whiskey sour...but without the whiskey. . 2oz Fresh Pineapple Juice 1oz Lemon Mint #ElementShrub 1/2oz Fresh Celery Juice 1/4 Lemon (including rind and pith) . Take all of these ingredients and throw them in a blender with one cube of ice. Pour over new ice and garnish like you would a cocktail. . The reason we use a blender is to create the same frothy texture that you would get by using an egg white. The whole lemon really helps with that as well. The combination of pineapple and celery with our lemon mint shrub balances each out to create just the right amount of sour, freshness (from the mint) and sweetness making this one of our favorite non-alcoholic drinks of late.
This is an incredibly easy way to spice up the last of those peaches or nectarines you picked up at the farmers market this past weekend. Slice and drizzle a little of our award-winning Chai Pear Shrub on top and voila! . Throw these in a salad or on vanilla ice cream and celebrate making it halfway through the week.
