Fall Sauce

Fall Sauce: •1.5oz @belleisleshine Ruby Red Grapefruit Moonshine •1oz Pear water* •3/4oz Grapefruit Vanilla Element Shrub •Several dashes of Orange Spice Root Bitters . Add ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain over new ice. Garnish with a grapefruit twist (optionally wrapped around a whole vanilla bean). . This drink is really well balanced and the spice notes from the bitters really pull it all together. . *Ok so "pear water"... One of the things I love making in the fall is homemade applesauce 🍎🍎 but we had some extra pears 🍐from our Chai Pear production so I made pearsauce instead. The "pear water" is the excess water that was left after food milling and straining the pearsauce. . To me this is really exciting for two reasons: . 1. This "water" would have otherwise gone to waste. 2. We basically created a pear simple syrup without adding any sugar. . Enjoy and happy upcycling everyone.
